Challenge:

100.000 house fires take place in the Netherlands every single year. Making people aware of the danger is something that has been done for years and isn’t effective enough. Find a way to inform people in a way that sticks.


Idea:

People are more aware of the house fire problem whenever it happens close to their home.  Therefor we partnered with the fire department and whenever there was a fire, we targeted the neighbors with an interactive Facebook canvas based on the cause of the fire.

Results:

  • Over 260.000 local residents have been informed after the house fires, which is 50% of all the residents.

  • After every fire we were able to reach the local residents within 24 hours.
